Refund & Returns Policy

1. Return window
Eligible products may be returned within 7 days of the date of delivery. For products that arrive defective, damaged in transit, or with items missing from the package, you must notify us within 2 days of delivery at info@smartgearsdukaan.com or by phone at +91 80 4000 1234, ideally with photos or a short video of the product and packaging — this helps us resolve the claim quickly.
2. Return conditions
To qualify for a return, the product must be:
- unused and in the same condition in which it was delivered;
- in its original packaging, with all accessories, cables, manuals, warranty cards and free items included in the box;
- accompanied by the invoice or order number so we can locate your purchase.
For hygiene and safety reasons, certain categories — such as in-ear earphones with broken seals, software licences and digital codes that have been revealed, and consumables that have been opened — are returnable only if defective on arrival. Any such restriction is stated on the product page.
3. Return process, step by step
- Raise a request. Email info@smartgearsdukaan.com or call +91 80 4000 1234 with your order number, the items you wish to return and the reason.
- Verification. Our team reviews the request and responds within 2 business days to approve it or ask for additional details (for example, photos of the defect).
- Reverse pickup. Once approved, we arrange a reverse pickup by our courier partner from the delivery address. Please keep the product packed and ready. If reverse pickup is not serviceable at your PIN code, we will coordinate an alternative and reimburse reasonable, pre-agreed courier charges.
- Inspection. After the product reaches us, it is inspected within 3 business days to confirm it meets the return conditions above.
- Resolution. Depending on your preference and stock availability, we offer a replacement (the same product), an exchange (a different product, with any price difference settled), or a refund.
4. When a return may be refused
- the product shows signs of use, installation or physical damage caused after delivery;
- the original packaging, accessories, warranty card or freebies are missing;
- the return request was raised after the 7-day window (or the 2-day window for defect/damage/shortage claims);
- the serial number or IMEI does not match the unit that was dispatched, or warranty seals have been tampered with.
If a return is refused after inspection, we will explain the reason and ship the product back to you.
5. Order cancellation
You may cancel an order free of charge at any time before it is dispatched — contact us at info@smartgearsdukaan.com or +91 80 4000 1234, or simply tell the manager during the confirmation call. Once an order has been handed over to the courier it can no longer be cancelled, but you may return it under this Policy after delivery. If you had already paid for a cancelled order, the amount is refunded in full under the timelines in section 6.
6. Refunds
Because no online payment is taken on the Website, refunds are issued to the payment method agreed with you — normally the same bank account or UPI ID from which you paid. For Cash on Delivery orders, refunds are made by bank transfer or UPI to details you provide.
- Refunds are initiated within 3–5 business days of the return passing inspection (or of the cancellation being confirmed).
- Your bank or UPI provider may take additional time to credit the amount; this is outside our control.
- The refund covers the price paid for the returned items. Original shipping charges are refunded only when the return is due to our error (defective, damaged or wrong item delivered).
7. Partial returns
For orders containing multiple items, you may return one or more items while keeping the rest. Each returned item is assessed individually under this Policy, and the refund is calculated for the returned items only, at the prices shown on your invoice. If a discount or free-shipping threshold applied to the whole order and the retained items no longer qualify, the refund may be adjusted accordingly — any such adjustment is explained to you before the refund is processed.
8. Warranty claims after the return window
After the 7-day return window, products covered by a manufacturer warranty are serviced through the respective brand’s authorised service network in India. We are happy to help you locate the correct service centre — write to info@smartgearsdukaan.com with your order number.
